The Next Generation Echo Springs Builds On 30 Years With New Leadership

As Echo Springs celebrates 30 years of supporting the growth of young adults in Idaho, Utah, and Portugal, they are thrilled to announce new leadership in both Utah and Idaho.

Miyah Torgeson has been promoted to Program Director at Echo Springs, Utah, bringing fresh leadership, deep compassion, and a powerful vision to the Utah-based community. Miyah has long been a valued member of the Echo team and steps into this role with a unique blend of warmth, accountability, and strategic insight. Her presence is felt in every corner of the program — from the personalized support plans to the vibrant mentor culture she fosters daily. Miyah’s leadership is rooted in connection. She believes that true growth happens in safe, consistent relationships and models this belief in everything she does. With a calm, grounded presence and an eye for detail, she leads the Utah team with grace, setting a high standard for care, communication, and commitment to each young adult’s journey. Under her direction, Echo Springs, Utah, continues to grow into a community where young adults find their footing and discover their voice, value, and capability.

Dr. Joshua Raybell has joined Echo Springs, Idaho, as Clinical Director after more than two decades of work in the mental health and addiction recovery field. A Coeur d’Alene native, he began his career in 2003 at Kootenai Health’s Youth Residential Program. He served in a wide range of roles across youth and adult psychiatric care, inpatient addiction treatment, and outpatient services. Joshua has worked closely with members of the Echo Springs team for many years, supporting young adults who have accessed more acute care. His therapeutic work is rooted in a deep understanding of neurodiversity, attachment, and human development, and he brings a systems lens to both individual and family work. He believes in addressing the underlying patterns and root causes that often drive addictive or self-defeating behaviors. He values the role of nurturing community in helping young adults move toward healthy independence. In addition to providing clinical leadership, Joshua works directly with participants and families to support sustainable, long-term growth. He was drawn to Echo Springs for its values, heart, and commitment to meaningful work—something he says he’s admired for years.

The owners of Echo Springs, John Winton, Chris Ankney, and Chelsea Dickinson, are thrilled to build the Echo Springs team as they enter their fourth decade. Chelsea speaks for the whole team when she states, “It’s an honor to help shape the next generation of leadership at Echo Springs. I deeply respect the legacy built by those who came before us - every staff, owner, and client - who poured their heart into making this place of healing and growth. Our work now is to carry that legacy forward with the same level of care, compassion, and commitment that first called each of us to this work.”
