Timbertop Camp Now Open For Registration Understanding Lightheartedness And Structure For Neurodivergent Boys

Timbertop Camp is excited to announce that registration is now open for its summer session, running from June 29 to July 26, 2025. Designed specifically for neurodivergent boys aged 8 to 14, Timbertop offers a laid-back environment where campers can thrive, make lasting friendships, and build confidence through shared experiences. Timbertop campers enjoy being outside and exploring the world but sometimes struggle navigating the complex social situations that emerge in larger camps.

The camp's carefully curated activities include canoeing, kayaking, swimming with optional instruction, farming, hiking, art, and outdoor skills. Additionally, campers can immerse themselves in various indoor and outdoor games, where creativity and teamwork come to life. Each camper enjoys their own dorm room, providing a comfortable and personal space to unwind after a day of adventure. Campers have their own tent on our overnight adventures.

Timbertop emphasizes a slow, predictable pace, allowing campers to engage at their own speed while learning social skills in a supportive environment. The focus is on fostering confidence and independence through novel experiences, encouraging personal growth. Whether conquering a new hiking trail or collaborating in a D&D quest, Timbertop is designed to inspire joy and camaraderie. The goal is to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere where campers can explore their interests, build friendships, and develop life skills that will serve them well beyond camp.

For prospective HCS students, Timbertop gives families and the school a chance to evaluate readiness before committing to the entire school year program. Current HCS students have a familiar routine and a place to land during the extended summer break. Alumni might be starting their professional resumes at Timbertop as counselors or counselors in training, and some campers attend school elsewhere and simply enjoy the slow, predictable pace of a Timbertop day.

With a maximum capacity of 15 boys, the staff-to-camper ratio is close to 1:1. Timbertop pairs the best of classic camp experiences with a slower pace and abundant space. The structured daily routine, interest-based activities, afternoons at the waterfront, and low-impact adventures allow campers who may have struggled in other settings to have a chance to thrive. Small dorms and single rooms create more opportunities to decompress after a busy day.

The cost for 2025 is $7,700.00 for the full 4-week session. The Timbertop camper fits the HCS profile but is not necessarily an HCS school-year student.

Spaces are limited, and parents are encouraged to register early to secure a spot for their child. For more information about Timbertop Camp, including registration details and a complete list of activities, please visit Timbertop camp on the web, call 603-899-3325, or email admission@hampshirecountryschool.net.

It will be an incredible summer at Timbertop Camp, where every camper can embark on an unforgettable adventure!
