Wellsville, UT — September 1, 2026 — CERTS, a family of small, individualized treatment programs supporting adolescents with mental health, emotional, and behavioral challenges, announced that Uinta Academy has officially joined its family of programs. For nearly 20 years, Uinta Academy has provided exceptional treatment and equine therapy, helping girls and families find healing, growth, and a path forward — work that CERTS leadership says they have long admired and are proud to now support.
Uinta's leadership and dedicated team will remain in place, ensuring continuity and no disruption for current students and families. The program will also continue welcoming new admissions, carrying forward the excellent work and relationships it has built over the years. As part of CERTS, Uinta Academy will gain access to expanded resources, collaboration, and clinical and operational expertise across the CERTS family of programs, which includes Kolob Canyon Residential, La Europa Academy, Moonridge Academy, and Mountain Springs Preparatory Academy.
“We’ve respected the work Uinta has been doing for a long time, so our entire leadership team was genuinely excited about the opportunity to welcome Uinta Academy into the CERTS family,” said Tawny Thomas, COO of CERTS. “Uinta has a great history and has helped so many girls and families over the years. We’re excited to support what’s already working and enter this next chapter together.”
