Wonder Announces Promotion Of Morgan Malech To Director Of Admissions

Wonder is excited to announce the promotion of Morgan Malech to Director of Admissions. Morgan joined Wonder’s team in April 2021 as the Hiring Manager but was quickly promoted to Admissions Counselor, where she has been supporting families for the past 2.5 years. Before Wonder, she earned her bachelor’s degree in social work with minors in sociology and psychology from Northern Arizona University. Morgan went on to work with individuals and families as a counselor for a crisis line and as a crisis responder for a fire department. She has also worked in intensive care units, educating and supporting families through the process of organ donation.

As Admissions Director, Morgan will continue to guide families through the admissions process by collaborating with fellow professionals and working closely with the Wonder clinicians and teams. Morgan will also continue to play a large role in Wonder's operations.

Morgan shared, “I am so grateful for this opportunity! My time at Wonder over the past three years has been filled with abundant growth, camaraderie, and care. I have always had a passion for lifting people up during their most difficult days, and I am incredibly proud and honored to be part of Wonder and each family's journey. I am so thankful for my amazing colleagues and especially my supervisor and mentor, Lydia Bishop, who has made such a positive impact on my career and life. I'm looking forward to using my experience and empathy to continue to support families, collaborate with all of the incredible providers in our community, and grow along the way!”

Wonder provides therapeutic, family systems-based programming that supports families through coaching and therapy in real-life settings. For 25 years, Wonder’s founders have used activity-based support to help youth work through emotional and behavioral challenges while building stronger relationships with their family, friends, and community. Wonder utilizes a family systems approach that works with the individual and the family to untangle long-standing unhealthy communication patterns that have decreased safety and trust in the parent-child relationship.

Lydia Bishop, Executive Director of Wonder, says, “Wonder is lucky to have such a dedicated, caring, genuine person to lead our Admissions. Morgan started with Wonder in April 2021. She quickly learned all aspects of our system and has thrived in supporting our families directly in the admissions process. Morgan’s unique skill in assessing families' needs while providing safety and guidance is highly valued. Her ability to see Wonder’s system as a whole and assess different aspects of our needs is valued tremendously. I personally am so grateful to have her by my side as I navigate things here at Wonder on a day-to-day basis! I am proud of her hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving families' needs.”
