Mountain Valley Treatment Center is searching for a therapist to join the team. Located on the edge of the White Mountains, Mountain Valley is a unique, not-for-profit residential treatment center in Pike, NH. Mountain Valley serves adolescents and emerging adults struggling with debilitating anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Mountain Valley clinicians are provided the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele of private-pay families and teens from around the world.
A clinician at Mountain Valley will work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and manage individual treatment plans and craft exposure therapy assignments for a case load of four residents. Residents stay for approximately 90 days and participate in experiential education activities such as equine and adventure programming and farm-to-table gardening, yoga and art modules. Mountain Valley's clinical program is based on cognitive behavioral principles with an emphasis on Exposure and Response Prevention. Clinicians are responsible for conducting multiple weekly individual therapy sessions, weekly family therapy sessions and daily group therapy sessions for their residents.
The ideal candidate will have a master's or doctoral degree in social work or psychology or a related degree and will be eligible for licensure. Licensed clinicians with specific experience working with teenagers and OCD/anxiety disorders are preferred. Multiple professional development and continuing education opportunities are available, including certification training, presenting and attending regional and national conferences (e.g. ADAA, IOCDF, and ABCT), and a robust on-site training program.
