All Kinds of Therapy, Discovery Ranch, Elements Wilderness Program, National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Program (NATSAP) TelosU, Vista and Youth Care are co-sponsoring a fundraiser -- "Shave Your NASTY Hair" for Cystic Fibrosis on June 2nd, 2017. This dinner/fundraiser will occur after the NATSAP regional conference in Layton, UT from 5 pm - 10 pm in downtown Salt Lake City.
"Shave your NASTY Hair" is a family friendly event to raise awareness and money for CF research. CF is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. "We are in a helping profession and this is an opportunity to help a group outside of ourselves and eat tacos, relax, and watch me finally cut my hair for a cause that is close to me," said John Karren, co-founder of Elements Wilderness Program. Karren has not cut his hair in 3 years and is in need of a cut; Jenney Wilder offered to help arrange this event to get people to pay money to shave John's head. "I will pay money to shave off that Professor Snape hair," said Wilder. "I expect I am not the only one who would love to cut off his nasty hair." There are four other people who are cutting their facial hair and hair for the cause. This is not an event to miss out on or donate to.
For up to date details, pictures of those getting their hair cut, and to RSVP either go to Facebook or email Jenney Wilder at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to RSVP for the whole family, the event organizers and sponsors do not want to run out of food.
