Northwest Passage’s assessment program is bringing an additional pediatric neuropsychologist to its clinical team. Located in Northwestern Wisconsin, Northwest Passage is situated near state and national forests, the shores of Lake Superior and the Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway. The Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area is nearby as well. Northwest Passage’s assessment program is a comprehensive, 30-day mental health evaluation process, serving boys and girls aged 6 to 17. Northwest Passage serves a unique population presenting with a wide range of neurodevelopmental disorders. Clients often have experience with substantial adverse childhood trauma. The associated learning, behavioral, and psychological complications are a significant component of daily evaluation and consultation.
The pediatric neuropsychologist is responsible for conducting neuropsychological evaluations, preparing neuropsychological reports, and working closely with each client’s care team. A client care team includes neuropsychologists, a psychometrician, a pediatrician, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, case managers, therapists, special education staff, patients and their families.
