Greenbrier’s Academic Director Lowell Galford has volunteered his time as Site Observer for AdvancedED’s accreditation team. Part of his role is to note powerful practices and deficiencies within a program, while discussing with the on-ground team whether the school meets accreditation standards. Lowell recently assisted the AdvancedED team at Darter High in Cincinnati, OH and has since been invited to be a team leader, giving him a position on the AdvancedED leadership board.
As the AdvancedED team makes its recommendations, Lowell contributed to the team's final report that goes to the AdvancedED headquarters. Greenbrier Academy’s entire academic and clinical team is proud to have Lowell contributing to AdvancedED's mission. Being an experienced educator in math, science and special education, with a background in research at UGA and Clemson, Lowell provides unique expertise to maintaining high academic standards as an AdvancedED volunteer, and as Greenbrier Academy's Academic Director.
Whether it be school refusal, anxiety and depression from bullying, or a lack of individualized attention, Greenbrier Academy is able to provide an engaging atmosphere in the classroom with Lowell Galford as the Academic Director. Greenbrier Academy applauds Lowell's dedication and service to AdvancedED's certification of high quality programs with innovation, and a research-based foundation.
