Confluence Behavioral Health, a short-term mental health treatment program supporting young adults, is strengthening its clinical team with the addition of Dominic Foti. Dom has spent the last 10 years in the pursuit of excellence in helping individuals and their families on their paths towards better health.
Dom is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Certified Advanced Yoga Teacher with over a decade of leadership experience in wilderness, residential, inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. His diverse work experience, personal interests and proven leadership align perfectly with the clinical approach, therapeutic interventions and family systems work that make Confluence a unique opportunity for young adults seeking opportunities for growth.
In 2007, Dom began his career at a wilderness program where he spent three years immersed in all facets of the program from operations to clinical. In these capacities, he worked to develop a better understanding of the processes of change, healing and growth. Having sufficiently sparked his interest, Dom attended graduate school where he earned a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. Dom completed clinical internships at the University of Vermont’s Counseling and Psychiatry Services Center as well as at Central Vermont Hospital’s Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. Dom went on to graduate at the top of his class, before returning to the wilderness program as a therapist working with adolescents and their families.
In 2015, Dom launched an outpatient therapy and executive consulting practice, and was the Clinical Admissions Director at the Vermont Center for Integrative Therapy from 2015-2018, before being recruited by Confluence Behavioral Health as their full time Clinical Director.
In all his positions, Dom has earned a reputation as a caring and compassionate advocate for his clients. Additionally, those that have worked with him know of his exceptional level of care and service to clients, their families and referring professionals alike.

Confluence Behaviorial Health is a hybrid residential treatment center bringing together wilderness therapy and therapeutic horticulture. Serving young adults aged 18 through 28 in a 60- to 120-day primary treatment setting, Confluence offers a clinically-intensive experience that helps participants address emotional, relational and behavioral challenges. Through an integrative approach to mental health and wellness, participants develop emotional awareness, build distress tolerance strategies, experience and extend empathy, practice executive functioning skills and improve family relationships.
