All Kinds of News for April 09, 2019
The 4th annual Therapeutic Consulting Association (TCA) Training happened April 3rd and 4th at the Salt Lake City, Utah. TCA kicked off training this year with a new event the night of the 3rd, where the members joined with 6 young adult programs to have round table discussions. The topics ranged from trends the programs are seeing in their populations, clinical concerns they are addressing and ways in which TCA consultants can support the growing young adult populations to face the challenges ahead. The collaborative event was a huge success, "This event was a true opportunity for connection and collaboration and better than any of the conferences, swaps and other events I have attended. It was a true opportunity to get real and talk about what needs to be discussed," said an executive director in attendance.
The morning of the 4th began the full day training at the Alta Club in downtown Salt Lake City. The wonderful Lisa Pepper-Satkin, a professional executive therapeutic coach from the San Francisco Bay Area taught participants ways to connect with each other, and their clients in an open hearted and courageous way. She assisted the TCA members to focus on TCA values and and each member's own super powers that they bring into educational consulting work, and that will, in turn, brighten personal lives and the world at large. The day was fun, creative and an opportunity to truly connect with one another in an experiential and playful format.
The afternoon afternoon presentations were a lively discussion around the pillars of the Therapeutic Consulting Association, current research, ethics and collaboration.
The TCA Training's afternoon wrapped up with a member "fan favorite", a round table discussions about the business of the business, creative marketing strategies and a carry over conversation from \ learning with Lisa in the morning, and a lively discussion about how to increase work life balance.
With another year's event under their belt, TCA is excited to begin planning for 2020.
