Auldern Academy announces a new line of programming for the summer semester, The Summer Bridge.
The Summer Bridge is a summer “credit enhancement” program developed for students needing ½ credit in up to 4 core classes, as well as those in need of intensive, but short-term therapeutic support. The length of the program is from the beginning of the summer session until the week after the summer session ends. The Summer Bridge is appropriate for students with moderate to significant academic needs in the areas of credit improvement and/or smaller class sizes and support. Students will preferably have completed a previous stay at a traditional boarding/day school or therapeutic placement, i.e., a wilderness program, residential treatment center or therapeutic school. Students should present with a psychological evaluation* and not display any significant high-risk behaviors (such as being a high flight risk, having significant acting out behaviors, or engaging in self-harming behaviors). Students will be assessed on a case by case basis.
