Chamberlain International School Alumnus Polyvios Christoforos has had quite a remarkable journey in his days since graduating from the school in 2013. From keynote speaker at national confrences on autism to succesful art shows, he has now reached another milestone in his professional career, becoming a published author.
Polyvios has just released his first children’s book ‘Sammy Smart Guy’. This project has been years in the making. It’s about how a young boy with autism became an artist. Even though the character in the book is fictional, it’s based on his real life experiences; Polyvios wrote and illustrated the book himself. While a student at Chamberlain, "Pauly" resided in the One Pleasant Street dorm where he is remembered by the staff as very outgoing and active in the community. According to his teachers he was always a very talented artist and spent a lot of time working closely with Alan in the art room creating comic strips, paintings and various other projects.
Polyvios continues to live out his dream of being an artist and now author, sharing his experiences of living with autism with others.
