All Kinds of News for April 09, 2019
In the last week of March, the clinical team at Greenbrier Academy had the opportunity to participate in two days of intensive training with world-class presenters Tim and Kris Hallbom. The training was held on campus in Pence Springs, WV. Tim is part of the development of the field of therapy known as neuro-linguistic programming and he and his wife have written or co-authored a number of books together. They are particularly known for their ability to help people identify and change unconscious limiting belief systems that may manifest as:
- Defiant and Disrespectful Behavior
- Anxiety and Depression Symptoms
- Eating Disorders
- Low Self Esteem & Self Worth
The entire clinical staff was immersed in interactive training with Tim and Kris, focusing on developing and refining skills of sensory acuity, learning how to help Greenbrier students concretize the ways in which many of their physical symptoms are manifestations of blocked emotions. Therapists learned and practiced powerful ways to help students identify and change their faulty beliefs to make room for new choices and a brighter future.
Tim and Kris repeatedly remarked on the exceptionally high skill level of Greenbrier staff and how that allowed them to move into advanced training techniques that are normally difficult to accomplish within a two day training period. There are tentative plans to continue training with these two skilled, gifted and incredibly empowering trainers.
The Clinical Team at Greenbrier Academy for Girls has already began applying their new skill-sets in student treatment plans. They have reported that they are experiencing powerful results. Staff members commented that they felt inspired by the training and validated because the trainers again noted the already existing high skill level and the ability to assimilate new information quickly and predominantly. Greenbrier Academy is committed to the continued training and development of their treatment teams. Clinical staff are excited to begin applying new modalities to further help Greenbrier's young women in the process of becoming their most authentic self.
