All Kinds of News for April 09, 2019
Pacia Life Salt Lake City has partnered with Golden Healer Service Dogs operated by Mike Carlson and his qualified team. Each of the various programs is modeled after the principals of equine-assisted therapy and designed to augment the treatment of:
- Attachment and adoption
- Emotional Dysregulation
- Executive functioning
- Diabetic Alert
- Seizure Alert
The Emotional Support Animal program is designed to build and reinforce student self-efficacy, self-discipline, confidence, trust, social skills, impulse control, daily executive functioning through responsibility and more. Pacia Salt Lake, Portland Organ, Boston, and New Perspective locations have allowed service animals for years. So having emotional support animals is not new to these locations.
(Program packages include a number of different options from basic care, canine therapy and emotional support programs to internships working with breeders and trainers.)
