In February 2019, Polaris Teen Center in Los Angeles, California welcomed three new members to the team.
Briene Riese, Alumni Coordinator, has worked in the adolescent treatment industry for over six years as a mentor, sober companion, program aid and alumni coordinator. After finding sobriety and moving to LA at the age of 17, Briene resonates deeply with struggling youth suffering from mental health and substance abuse related disorders. This is due to her personal experience, perspective and dedication towards helping others. Briene also runs a private practice as a certified Reiki and Transpersonal Energy Healing Practitioner. She draws from a passion for meditation, self knowledge, and spiritual discovery.
Chris Martin, MA, has a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. As Case Manager at Polaris, Chris is a mental health professional who has worked with children, teens, and families to encourage them to live healthier lives. By using Utilizing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) models, Chris specializes in shaping the social, behavioral and communication patterns of adolescents.
Sarit Rogers, ERYT, SET is a Somatic Experiencing® (SE) practitioner and trauma-informed yoga instructor who dedicates her life to naturalistic healing. Sarit provides people with the accessible tools for self-care, self-regulation and healthy living, both mentally and physically. Through movement, mindfulness, creativity, and SE, Sarit encourages adults and teens to live their lives to the fullest.
