ReSTART is the industry leader in technology and internet addiction. They have been focused on tackling this rising problem for over ten years, and have constantly adapted and grown in ways to better serve this specific population. ReSTART’s growth continues, adding Life Coaching to their Outpatient services. The goal was to widen services to lend support to a broader client base.
These are the four primary areas of focus:
- Individuals not ready for intensive treatment
- Parents and families in need of support with changes around tech use
- reSTART clients in Sustainability, as they prepare to "launch"
- past reSTART clients who need additional and continued accountability and support to keep them on track.
The coaching model is solutions-focused, forward-focused and based upon the value and power of each individual's intuition and strengths. It is largely client-driven, based upon what the client feels they most need, through exploration of desires, possibilities, impact and actionable planning.
ReSTART feels that this addition to their treatment model only enhances the care that is already being given to their clients. ReSTART strongly believes that the best outcome is reached when coaching and therapy are used synergistically; where clients can use their learning from therapy to develop and implement strategies through coaching.
ReSTART is excited about this new addition to the list of services that they provide as they continue to help and support the growing population of adolescents and young adults struggling with internet and gaming issues.
Headquartered in Fall City, Washington, reSTART is a leading advocate of healthy sustainable digital media use (internet, VR, and videogames) for people and the planet. reSTART offers staffed residential care for youth (13-17) and life sharing retreats for adults (ages 18-30), along with independent living support.
