Seven Stars, an assessment and residential treatment program for teens struggling with neurodevelopmental issues, is excited to welcome Lori Maughan, OTR/L to their clinical team as a Consulting Occupational Therapist.
As an occupational therapist, Lori focuses on teaching parents how to recognize and manage their child's sensory needs so the child can be more successful at home and in the community.
“I am thrilled to join the Seven Stars team,” says Lori. “I love working with this population and seeing the positive impact my work has on autism spectrum students.”
Lori is a Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist and has spent the past 20 years working in pediatrics. She specializes in treating young people with sensory processing disorders.
“Seven Stars students benefit tremendously from the assessment and treatment options provided by Lori,” says Dr. Gordon Day, Executive Clinical Director and Founder of Seven Stars. “Learning to manage their sensory issues is a primary factor in enhancing their emotional and behavioral regulation and overall well being.”
When Lori’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, fishing, boating and traveling.
