Onward Transitions Launches New Website

Onward Transitions for emerging adults in Portland, ME is proud to announce the launch of their new website onwardtransitions.com. Spearheaded by Education and Life Transitions Coordinator Katy MacColl and Executive Director Tracy Bailey, the new site features updated content, graphics, and helpful links for young adults in search of their own options. The previous website was launched in 2016.
Bailey stated, “It was a total team effort, but Katy was our driving force. Her background in graphic arts really helped us to hone our community’s voice and essence, and then better articulate it through words and visual imagery.” MacColl brought to life the new 4,600 square foot workspace that the Onward Transitions participants utilize with a commercial kitchen, a centralized location that maintains or exceeds CDC recommendations for transmission mitigation.
MacColl, a former teacher and gap year program administrator, has been with Onward since October, and due to her experience has decided to make a career investment in the helping professions. “I really love the members and the work we do here with them, so I’m off to start my MSW this fall. My hope is that I can do my second practicum here because I really feel drawn to working with emerging adults.” Bailey added that Onward hopes to continue a working relationship with MacColl after she goes to school. “Katy has so many connections with people here and corresponding talents to help them with. We know that we can help to keep her busy.”
