All Kinds of Therapy is excited to share that there are now over 220 blogs on the website.  These blogs are just some of the reasons that there have been over 150K visitors to the website since 2021 began, over 20% growth in traffic this year.   Most of the blogs were created to answer questions of parents’ questions to be answered in the middle of the night as they sort through a crisis. There is a subset to create a space for young adults to reflect back on their experiences in teen treatment or choose treatment as a young adult.  Then there are opinion/information blogs that are more limited and timely to whatever is happening in Private Pay Behavioral Healthcare or nationally, like COVID or this fall, Oregon State Bill 749: How and Why to Register?, and the questions surrounding should an independent education consultant register with the state of Oregon if they place adolescents or not. 

The blogs began to be written in 2014 and many of those are helpful seasonally, like, Keeping Wilderness Therapy Clients Safe in Winter or How Can my Teen Miss Their Favorite Holiday? What Happens in Treatment Centers Over the Holidays? Other blogs have become  FAQs for families that have landed on the website and sit in the blog and the FAQs section.  Another group of blogs is Interview Questions, like Top Questions to Ask an Educational Consultant or Interventionist. Interviews with Young Adults in search of their own treatment or transition program or enrolling in wilderness Therapy, Questions to guide parents when touring residential treatment programs Questions & concepts to ask when visiting a treatment program that “specializes” in transgender.  Many families do not know the difference between Outward Bound and Wilderness Therapy and there are a couple of blogs on this subject. 

Since adding boarding schools to the website last year slowly, the blog filter for boarding schools is growing with content like Reasons why boarding schools are a good option post-treatment or wilderness therapy, 10 Types of boarding schools, or most recently, What’s a learning difference  boarding school? 5 outstanding outcomes.   The blog is updated at least monthly, if not more. The professionals listed in the ‘Expert section’ are parent coaches, tele-therapy, tele-assessment, therapeutic consultants who reveal details about their practice. The blog with over 200 entries is directed towards the parents and young adults in search of context and support.
