Parent Coach Professionals Announce New Ownership

Parent Coach Professionals is pleased to announce new leadership: Mary Hickey and Colin Cass have become its new owners and directors. Hickey and Cass bring new enthusiasm to a continuing legacy of excellence established by founders and Parent Coach Emeriti Barbara Cass and Vicky Jones. Both ICF (International Coaching Federation) certified, Barbara and Vicky brought a new level of professionalism to the field of parent coaching. Prioritizing professional and specialty certifications, they engendered a holistic approach based on skill development and empowerment of the client as a creative and resourceful partner in the process.
Mary Hickey joined the team in 2017. She has a master’s degree in counseling and human relations, a professional certificate in Learning Differences and Neurodiversity with a specialization in Executive Functioning, and is a certified Parent Coach. She also has over 25 years of experience in wilderness therapy, residential treatment, and transitional living.
Colin Cass came on board in 2018. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, is a Certified Young Adult and Family Life Coach, a Certified Behavioral Coach and Life Coach, and is the founder of a unique coaching style that incorporates running as a vehicle for positive change.
Embracing the organization’s founding tenets, Mary and Colin know that coaching empowers parents and supports the foundation for a healthy family system. According to Hickey, “As parents gain skills and confidence, they are able to engage and connect in an effective manner and contribute meaningfully to their family’s growth, resilience, and connection.”
