Ready to Move Forward? Welcome to Confluence!

Confluence is a behavioral health organization serving young adults ages 18–28 through a full continuum of care—including residential treatment, transitional living, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services—designed to support meaningful, lasting growth.

Whether an individual needs the structure of residential treatment, the support of transitional living, or ongoing clinical care, our programs are designed to meet young adults where they are and help them build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to thrive in adulthood.

A Continuum of Care Designed for Young Adults:
Growth is not always linear. As needs evolve, the level of support should evolve as well. Confluence offers multiple levels of care that provide continuity, collaboration, and individualized support throughout a young adult's journey.

Residential Treatment | Thetford, Vermont:
Our residential program offers a highly supportive therapeutic environment where young adults can step away from daily pressures and focus on healing, self-discovery, and personal growth. Through individualized treatment, experiential learning, and community living, participants develop greater self-awareness and the skills needed for lasting change.

Confluence Transitions | Burlington, Vermont:
Our transitional living program helps young adults bridge the gap between treatment and independent adulthood. Participants receive clinical support while developing executive functioning skills, life skills, academic and vocational readiness, healthy routines, and increased confidence in managing day-to-day responsibilities.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) | Burlington, Vermont:
Our Intensive Outpatient Program provides structured therapeutic support while allowing participants to remain engaged in work, school, and community life. This level of care offers a balance of clinical treatment and real-world application, helping young adults strengthen skills and maintain momentum.

Understanding What Gets in the Way:
Many young adults arrive feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about their next steps. Through individualized clinical care, participants gain a deeper understanding of the challenges they face, identify patterns that may be limiting growth, and develop healthier, more effective ways of navigating life's complexities.
Growth requires both support and challenge. Our evidence-informed approach combines clinical treatment, coaching, experiential learning, and real-world practice to help participants build confidence and momentum.
Participants work toward:
* Strengthening emotional awareness and regulation
* Developing effective distress tolerance skills
* Improving executive functioning and daily living skills
* Building resilience, adaptability, and self-confidence
* Creating healthy routines and greater independence
* Developing stronger interpersonal and communication skills

Lasting change comes from learning how to navigate life's challenges with flexibility and intention. Our programs encourage a healthy balance of effort and rest, autonomy and support, challenge and connection. Through this process, participants develop the capacity to manage stress, respond to setbacks, and engage more fully in their lives.
We believe meaningful growth happens within authentic, trusting relationships. Our clinicians and staff provide compassionate support while maintaining high expectations for personal responsibility and engagement. Every participant is viewed as capable of growth, and treatment is tailored to their unique strengths, goals, and needs.

At Confluence, we believe every young adult has the capacity to heal, grow, and thrive. Our role is to help participants develop the insight, skills, and confidence needed to build a meaningful, fulfilling, and self-directed life. Wherever someone begins their journey, Confluence provides the support, structure, and opportunities needed to move forward with purpose.
