For more than 20 years, Ellenhorn has provided a revolutionary alternative to traditional treatment. Our "hospital without walls" model delivers psychiatric and psychosocial care directly in clients' communities, which preserves their independence and dignity utilizing the Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team model. Ellenhorn focuses on supporting social recovery and helping adult clients rebuild their lives where they live.

We not only address psychiatric symptoms, we address the psychosocial trauma that is often caused by stigmatizing and isolating treatment models. Through our Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT), we empower individuals to regain purpose, connections and a sense of control over their lives.

- Experiences of psychosis and what some professionals label as schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder.
- Disordered experiences of the self, and problems in relating to others that are often associated with personality disorders.
- Painful events of mind mood, like depression, anxiety and bipolarity.
- Co-occurring substance use and other problematic habits.
- Individuals who feel disconnected from traditional treatment models and want to stay integrated within their communities while receiving care.
- College students and individuals taking time away from work or navigating significant life transitions, caregiving demands or other major life events.

👥 Our Teams and Approach:
- Multidisciplinary teams (psychiatry, therapists, nursing, peer support)
- Up to 25 hours/week of one-to-one care
- Neuropsychiatric testing
- In-vivo assessment (understanding clients in their real-world contexts)
- Evidence-based therapies (motivational interviewing, open dialogue, mentalization-based treatment)
- Community-based engagement (delivering more than 75 percent of services in clients' homes, workplaces or schools)
