Horizon Recovery is exclusively for teens and young adults (ages 10-21), ensuring every aspect of care is age-appropriate. Treatment at Horizon goes beyond, talk therapy by integrating holistic modalities like equine-assisted therapy, art, and yoga, while also ensuring teens don't fall behind academically by providing comprehensive education and tutoring services. To avoid generic treatment, they utilize a unique platform called Journey. This builds highly individualized care plans.
Horizon Recovery has several levels of care to support young people and their families:
- 24/7 Inpatient Residential Care: The highest level of support, providing round-the-clock clinical care and stability in a fully supervised, structured environment.
-
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) : Intensive daytime clinical care where teens return home in the evening—though for teens needing extra structure at this stage, Horizon partners with the Teen Pathways Alliance to offer supportive housing.
-
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): A step down to flexible therapy sessions several times a week, allowing teens to live at home, stay connected to school, and practice recovery skills in their daily lives.
-
Outpatient Therapy: The lowest level of care, focusing on ongoing, long-term support and maintenance as teens fully reintegrate into their regular routines.
Horizon Recovery is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and has several locations in the Phoenix area with varying levels of care offered.
