Kolob Canyon RTC is designed for girls who are experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm, school refusal, or other emotional health struggles. Kolob Canyon RTC is an intentionally small setting for ages 14-17. There is a great deal of structure in this residential treatment program because there are only 16 beds.
Although Kolob Canyon RTC is not a formally certified DBT program, it incorporates DBT principles into a comprehensive residential approach that includes intensive therapy, trauma-focused care, adventure therapy, and equine therapy. This clinical work is seamlessly integrated with a traditional school day featuring small classes, certified teachers, year-round academics, and support for IEP and 504 plans—ensuring therapeutic and educational goals stay aligned rather than pulling in different directions.
🤝 Parent involvement is part of the rhythm too, with seminars, a webinar series, and home visits that help families stay connected while their teen is in care.
🧭 Kolob Canyon RTC is owned by the CERTS Group. It is Joint Commission- and Cognia-accredited for its academic program. It holds a license from the State of Utah also.
