🧭 Transcend (Transcend Recovery Community - NYC) is a men’s recovery residence on the Upper West Side in New York City, built for people who want structure without losing their footing in daily life. Transcend [New York] keeps the setting residential and city-based, with a calm brownstone feel, high-end amenities, and a peer-centered recovery model that has been part of its work since 2011.
Located on a quiet street in Manhattan's Upper West Side, the home is a 5-story brownstone with vaulted ceilings and abundant natural light. The manicured backyard, fully stocked kitchen, and multiple common spaces offer plenty of room for work, socializing, or simply relaxing. We are within walking distance of the American Museum of Natural History, Central Park, Riverside Park, and Lincoln Center, and just a 10-minute subway ride from Midtown Manhattan. Each bedroom, shared by no more than two residents, has a private bathroom, high ceilings, large windows, and views of the historic district. The chef prepares seven meals a week, tailored to each resident's dietary needs.
🏡 Inside Transcend, residents get 24/7 awake staff, drug testing, medication monitoring, chef-prepared meals, and close case management. The house also includes recovery coaching, executive functioning support, social skills support, nutrition help, and coordination with outside treatment teams, which gives the place a steady rhythm without feeling rigid.
📚 Transcend is a strong fit for men moving from treatment into sober living, for students who need accountability while they keep work, school, and recovery moving. 🤝 The day-to-day feel is community-based and practical, with alumni involvement, regular activities, and support that is meant to bridge residents back toward independence in a pretty grounded way.
Transcend Recovery Community is certified as the first New York State Alliance for Recovery Residences (NYSARR) certified recovery residence in New York City.
