Wellspring is a small, nonprofit residential treatment program nestled in the heart of Bethlehem, Connecticut. Since 1977, we have remained deeply committed to our founding mission. As pioneers of the relational and restorative model, we understand that meaningful, lasting change happens through individualized, relationship-centered care. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to meet the diverse clinical, academic, and developmental needs of the individuals and families we serve.

🏡 ADOLESCENT GIRLS RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM & ON-CAMPUS COLLEGE-PREPARATORY SCHOOL
Our adolescent campus sits on 15 serene acres and includes two warm, home-like residences serving up to 27 students. The long-term program offers a recommended length of stay of 6–18 months. Clinical treatment is fully integrated with our on-campus, college-preparatory school, which has maintained a 100% graduation rate for over a decade. Program costs may be funded by a student’s home school district through the IEP/PPT/CSE process. Wellspring has partnered collaboratively with more than 100 school districts across multiple states.

🏡 ADOLESCENT INTENSIVE CARE PROGRAM (3–5 MONTHS)
This newer, short-term program provides intensive individual and group clinical care focused on stabilization, assessment, and a thoughtful transition back to home. Program costs are supported through out-of-network insurance benefits or private pay.

🏡 ADULT WOMEN & GENDER-DIVERSE RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM (10 RESIDENTS)
Wellspring’s adult residential program offers a relational, family-style treatment environment for women and gender-diverse individuals. The program includes step-down options into day treatment and outpatient care and supports residents as they return to college, work, and independent living.

Our multidisciplinary treatment team includes a psychiatrist, nursing staff, psychotherapists, social workers, and milieu counselors. Clinical care is enriched through experiential therapies including organic gardening, culinary programming, and land- and animal-based activities. All services are included in the daily rate.
