Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is a premier treatment option for struggling teens which provides specialized services for: low self-worth; lack of motivation; low to moderate behavioral issues; poor academic performance (credit recovery offered); dual-diagnosis; various adolescent disorders which may include ADD/ADHD, depression, various substance abuse and addictive behaviors, spectrum disorders and attachment disorders. TWAI embraces a clinically driven, multi-disciplinary and individualized therapeutic approach in providing a safe atmosphere where your teenager can learn, heal and grow throughout their treatment. Furthermore, we also utilize extensive work outside of individual therapy such as psycho-educational activities; recreational therapy; a variety of effective group therapies; and addiction recovery groups for those who may need additional support through the therapeutic process. Students at TWAI experience a first-class academic experience. Our highly trained, board certified teachers assess each students' academic needs to develop an individualized academic program that will guide them toward success. Teenagers as we know need healthy outlets so that they are able to develop essential social skills; further define key characteristics of leadership; and so that they can just have fun and unwind from a day of emotional growth work. At TWAI, our activity track is comprised of six categories; they include: outdoor recreation; academic enhancement; vocational development; Arts& Music; Animal Care; along with Nutrition & Fitness.
