Evolve specializes in treating teens, 12 to 17 years old, who have difficulty regulating emotions, are engaging in high-risk or self-injurious behaviors, or are suffering from suicidal ideation. Many of our teens struggle with depression, anxiety, addiction, behavioral issues, ADHD, psychosis, borderline personality disorder, and other high-acuity mental health issues and co-occurring disorders.

Evolve offers Residential, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient, with locations throughout California. Our treatment team includes board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, and counselors. Our therapeutic approach is evidence-based and behavioral, and we incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) at all locations. Most of our programs provide a strong DBT skills-training component, in conjunction with other evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. We also offer fully adherent Comprehensive DBT residential programs.

At the residential level of care, teens receive three individual therapy sessions, two family therapy sessions, and one psychiatry session per week. In addition, the robust program schedule includes a minimum of 15 clinical groups per week, experiential therapy, academic hours, therapeutic outings, and more. We provide a safe and structured environment where teens develop valuable skills and insights, ensuring gains in treatment are maintained long after discharge.
