Fulshear Treatment to Transition is a residential treatment and transitional living program that enables young adult women+ to become healthy, strong, and influential. Fulshear works with young women+, ages 18-27, specializing in trauma, attachment, mood and personality disorders. Using techniques that do more than correct or replace behaviors, Fulshear focuses on creating lasting change. They help their clients to work through the negative beliefs they have about themselves and teach them essential skills to manage their lives, even in the midst of big life changes. Clients can start at the ranch (residential level of care), which serves as a haven from technology and life stressors to allow clients to focus on themselves, learn how to build healthy relationships, have a therapeutic focus, and develop/practice necessary life skills for independent living. The goal at the ranch is heal trauma and attachment wounds. Within a few months, clients move to the Transition part of the program (or begin there if clinically appropriate), where they’ll live in Fulshear’s apartments and have the ability to attend clinical programming each day, yet also have a job, take college classes, volunteer, etc. While still meeting with their therapist and life skills team, the time at the Apartments is where clients focus on their personal strength, influence, healthy relationships, and seeing their own capabilities of living life as a healthy young adults. The goal at the Apartments is for clients to begin living beyond their trauma and attachment wounds. Fulshear’s Integrated Attachment Model is woven throughout the entire program, to help its clients learn how to have lasting, positive relationships as they gain awareness of how they are within relationships, and how their needs are or are not being met within those connections. Having so many new experiences within relationships while at Fulshear helps its clients to heal – as Fulshear believes that everyone heals in relationships and through experience.
