Gateway Academy is a trusted, sophisticated residential treatment setting helping families heal since 2002.

Gateway’s program in integrated in five ways-
1. Therapy that is individualized
2. Education that is personal (in a classroom setting)
3. Adventure that is therapeutic
4. Community that is empowering
5. Fitness that that sparks the brain

What distinguishes Gateway from other treatment programs is an emphasis on brain-based learning and healing within the context of relationships. We believe that by understanding what’s happening in an adolescent’s brain at this formative stage of development, and by individualizing his treatment through therapy rooted in relationships, we can help him learn, grow and heal.

A typical Gateway Academy boy struggles with many of the following:
* anxiety
* depression
* executive functioning
* ADHD/ADD
* social and relationship weakness
* unresolved trauma
* diminished self esteem
* difficulties at home &/or family
* experimentation w/ alcohol and drugs
* oppositional attitudes
* excessive use of computers/electronics
* identity and developmental issues
* academic deficits (& above average IQ)
* lack of motivation

Founded with one singular intention: to focus on the unique needs of the individual boy while providing the most state-of-the-art, evidence-based, treatment and academic program in the country. Gateway’s onsite owners remain committed to this intention by remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations and ongoing incorporation of current clinical and academic research.
