Summit Achievement, an innovative 6-10 week program, uniquely offers a hybrid model where students split their week between adventure-based expeditions and our residential campus. While on campus our students attend classes at our accredited school and engage in individual, group and family therapy. Located in the beautiful White Mountains Region of Maine, Summit Achievement is also licensed as a Residential Treatment Center (RTC) and an accredited non-traditional private school. Guided by positive reinforcement and the power of choice, our unique hybrid design seamlessly integrates five key components:

1. Adventure-based wilderness expeditions – 4 days/3 nights per week
2. Accredited academic classes tailored to each student’s individual needs
3. Residential Community typical of a small therapeutic boarding school
4. Client Centered therapy – incorporating individual, group and family
5. Family inclusion via therapy, phone calls and visits

Through this process of combining the best features of an Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare program with the best features of a special needs boarding school, students experience the therapeutic benefits of exciting outdoor adventures while learning to manage the demands of a more traditional environment. As an intentionally small, owner-operated program, we serve adolescents of all genders, ages 13-20, from around the world.
