Pure Life Adventure Expands Yoga Program with Newly Certified Instructors

Pure Life Adventure is proud to announce the addition of three certified yoga instructors on the team, allowing students to participate in this practice more frequently while at the Costa Rican outdoor adventure therapy program.
Lead Guide Eric Nestingen, Guide Arlet Quiros-Calvo, and Field Guide Supervisor Cynthia Montero each received their 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate from BE Warriors Yoga. BE Warriors Yoga has been leading teacher training internationally since 2009 and has certified graduates in the US Military and instructors in Japan, Costa Rica, Korea, and the United States.
Pure Life Adventure students and yoga instructors benefit tremendously because BE Warriors founder Faith Martin, LAC, NCC, and CSCS is one of the Primary Therapists on staff.
Faith explains, “In the training, we worked on how much our actions are governed by our nervous system, specifically movement. It controls your movements, thoughts, and automatic responses to the world around you. The training I lead focuses on understanding the self from a holistic approach.”
Helping students build a yoga practice has always been a core activity at Pure Life Adventure; yoga benefits the body and mind and can give students another fantastic opportunity to try something new in a safe, supportive environment. Having a team of staff members certified in yoga allows students who attend the program to have access to mindfulness practices through several avenues to cultivate habits that support an understanding of the self they can take when they return home.
Cynthia Montero, Field Supervisor, believes that yoga serves Pure Life Adventure students well beyond their time in Costa Rica.
