Registration Open for Expanding Recovery Conference

Registration is now open for this three-day event to learn, connect, and reset! Expanding Recovery for Young People is so much more than a conference – it includes lodging, meals, dynamic speakers, restorative wellness activities, and panel discussions – all in the picturesque mountains of Western North Carolina.
Expanding Recovery brings together clinicians, residential and outpatient treatment staff, and referring professionals for a time of collaboration, learning, and self-care. At last year’s event, the conference explored the stress of the pandemic through various presentations life after treatment using developmental neuroscience. This year, the focus will lean towards the family system and how treatment providers can support the family while they navigate addiction and recovery of their child/loved one. Keynote speaker Jim Thomas will explore how people find their hearts and bring that love to recovery work. Jim Thomas, LMFT, founder of the Colorado Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy, inspires therapists to show up more in the work with a different lens for looking at addiction and trauma.
