ROOTs Team Completes NARM Training

ROOTs Transition Executive Clinical Director Jaime Palmer and Founder and Executive Director Kami Black, LCSW completed NARM Level 2 therapist training. With NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) as the clinical and program foundation at ROOTs, this training, and continued education will enrich the work both in the clinical department as well as the program as a whole.
NARM is a trauma-informed relational approach to the clinical work related to attachment, relational and developmental trauma. In regards to the strength of the model Jaime Palmer said “NARM gives our therapists the framework and tools to access deep therapeutic work with both clients and parents.” Jaime continued by saying “Keeping our clients connected to their body is foundational to our philosophy at ROOTs. NARM helps to create an experience for our clients that lets them explore the connection between their body and their trauma in a way that allows them the power of self regulation.”
With the backdrop of the Wasatch mountains, ROOTs takes the philosophy of the mind-body connection of NARM into the wild of Park City. Fostering daily interaction with the mountains, trails, reservoirs, and local community ROOTs is able to truly integrate the clinical work of the clients and families they serve into real daily life with the intention of creating life-long skills.
