ScenicView Academy Wins Prestigious “Best of State” Award

ScenicView Academy in Provo, Utah is being honored with Utah’s prestigious “Best of State Award” for 2023. The Best of State Awards recognize outstanding organizations and businesses in Utah that “improve the quality of life in their community and state, and their efforts to make the world a better place.”
As the name suggests, judges look at the excellence and quality of a nominee’s services or performance, as well as the creativity nominees display in differentiating themselves from their competition.
ScenicView Academy is a nonprofit transitional school for young adults with autism and other neurodiversities. We empower students with the skills needed to live independent, productive, and fulfilling lives. Students at ScenicView become part of a unique community that respects the challenges, strengths, and contributions of each individual while working to develop the skills, responsibility, and relationships needed to live, work, and thrive together in a community.
“This award is a testament to our exceptional community,” says Executive Director Marty Matheson. “It not only represents the hard work of the ScenicView Academy staff but also the tremendous support we receive from our community partners. We couldn’t do what we do without the local businesses that hire our students, the landlords who take in our students, and the organizations that find unique ways to support our students and their needs. By recognizing excellence in our community and sharing examples of success and triumph in worthy endeavors, the Best of State organization hopes all will be inspired to reach a little higher, to try a little harder, and to work a little smarter for our dreams and goals.”
