Shortridge Academy is the most normalized and progressive therapeutic boarding school in the country, whose strengths-based and authoritative approach successfully supports students struggling with anxiety, depression, family dysfunction, and learning challenges.

Shortridge is now combining their strong therapeutic boarding school education with a new dedicated clinically sophisticated residential treatment program on the same campus. “The Ridge” residential treatment program, located in its own self-contained and appropriately staffed living space, will offer students an environment where therapy, structure, supervision, and healthy activities are the focus. Ultimately, the goal is for students at the Ridge to transition successfully to the larger Shortridge therapeutic boarding school campus within four to eight weeks of enrollment.

Shortridge Academy is seeking a full-time licensed Counselor/Therapist to serve as part of our strong clinical team providing case management, individual, group, and family therapy. Therapists also participate in activities, clubs and committees with students and provide clinical oversight of the milieu one evening shift per week.

The ideal candidate will be licensed in NH and have experience working as part of a team of professionals serving adolescents in a long-term residential setting. Candidates should have an understanding of using a strengths-based approach and familiarity with the Positive Youth Development (PYD) philosophy. Experience working with clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, executive functioning, substance abuse, trauma, and attachment issues is preferred.
