Solstice West RTC Introduces New Executive Director Charlie Falatea

Solstice West, a residential treatment center for teen girls and assigned females at birth ages 14-18, along with its sister programs Journey Home West & Journey Home Young Adult, is excited to introduce Charlie Falatea as their new Executive Director.
Charlie has worked in the mental health field since 2002. He has extensive experience organizing, developing, and operating programs. Charlie enjoys working directly with youth, families, and his staff. Charlie focuses on the relationship, helping others feel peace and guidance through difficult times. His passion is in creating a healthy and healing environment.
In his spare time, Charlie is a high school football coach. He is also the founder and president of a successful youth basketball program called Se Soia. Charlie developed this program to help kids who cannot afford to play competitive basketball enjoy the sport. He enjoys giving back to his community in these ways and many others. Charlie is proud to be a father of eight children, four boys and four girls.
“I feel blessed to be here at Solstice,” Charlie said. “Such a rich history of great treatment being offered to so many over the years. Just as important are the many wonderful people. I’m so grateful to be a part of the Solstice team!”
Additionally, Solstice West would like to announce Keoni Anderson’s retirement and thank him for his years of dedication and service. Having been one of the original founders of Solstice and the Journey Home Programs, Keoni has been influential in making the program what it is today and making sure that the team continues the vision that was created 13 years ago.
The team at Solstice West would like to thank Keoni for his vision and courage in creating a beautiful, healing program for struggling teens. The Solstice team wishes him health and happiness in his retirement and the adventures yet to come in the next chapters of his life.
