The Dorm Offers Expanded In-Person Care, 11 Hours/Day, 6 Days/Week

The Dorm, a mental health treatment community in NYC and DC, is now offering an expanded in-person experience of care. The move to extended hours is in response to their young adult clients’ changing and fluid needs on their path to independence. Highlights of their updated schedule include:
- 6 days/week of in-person treatment
- Extended daily hours (9 am – 8 pm)
- Virtual & hybrid treatment options for continuity of care as-needed, cross-site groups and family sessions
The Dorm’s clinical team designed this new extended schedule in consideration of two typical client profiles: high acuity clients who may need more structure into the evenings; and lower acuity clients who have sought additional flexible clinical hours to accommodate daytime classes or work hours.
Additionally, after over two years of a hybrid care model during the pandemic, including virtual and in-person days, The Dorm is responding to clients’ evolving needs as the country moves to more in-person experiences.
In consideration of the ongoing threat of COVID-19, The Dorm continues to enforce advanced health and safety measures including visitor pre-screenings, masking onsite at all times, community vaccination requirements, and continued onsite testing.
