Therapeutic Consulting Association Announces Annual Training: “Consulting with Purpose”

Board Chair Jennifer Taylor is praising the Education Committee’s dedication and enthusiasm for next year’s Annual TCA Training. “Our annual training is back! This group of TCA Members, who stepped up to plan the largest ever TCA training, are going the extra mile for TCA.”
The training has moved to Denver to provide a variety of location, a new area for program and school touring, and for the amazing Keynote Speaker who lives in the Front Range Colorado area. The Annual training is planned to be in-person for March 29 and 30, 2022. The theme is “Consulting with Purpose.”
The Keynote Speaker is Zach Mercurio, author of “The Invisible Leader.” Zach’s speaking, training, and consulting programs forge purposeful leaders and positive organizations that activate more meaning, motivation, well-being, and performance in work and life. Zach will spend a half-day leading the attendees in a workshop specifically to support a therapeutic consultant’s personal and professional life. “As someone who has read this book and knows Zach personally and professionally, I truly believe this year’s guest speaker will be profound. I foresee this helping facilitate ongoing conversations within TCA about our individual and larger group purpose,” said Joanna Lilley, Treasurer of TCA.
In addition to Zach’s workshop, the evening before is a round-table “speed dating” event of short introductions to therapeutic programs and consultants. It is a casual way to connect with clinicians and directors of programs, as well with the attendees, to kick off the event.
The second half of the conference day is expected to be an ongoing discussion about TCA’s theme with presentations by members. As is customary, the final hours are updates by the Board and renewal of the hallmark themes of TCA: Ethics, Collaboration, Research & Life-long Learning.
TCA has grown to a membership of over 70 experienced therapeutic consultants, and they expect a majority to attend. TCA’s training is open to any referring professional who wants to attend. Membership in TCA is not a prerequisite. In fact, TCA invites newcomers who want to see what the organization is all about.
