Therapeutic Consulting Association Helps Forge Unity of Purpose with Leading Organizations in Mental and Behavioral Health
In an exciting collaboration, the CEO of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), the current and incoming President of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP), the Executive Director of NATSAP, and Michael Collins, Board Chair of the Therapeutic Consulting Association (TCA), have joined forces to support behavioral health and mental fitness.
In May, this team engaged in a comprehensive exercise to gain a profound understanding of the current state of the union within the therapeutic landscape. The single most important message that emerged from these deliberations was the necessity of fostering a unity of purpose. With that, TCA proudly celebrates its ongoing dedication and active participation in fostering this unity of purpose across all therapeutic organizations to benefit the betterment of mental health and behavioral health for adolescents and young adults.
TCA’s Michael Collins recently showcased this commitment by participating in two panels: one at the National IECA Conference in Tampa in November of 2023 and another at the National NATSAP Conference in January of 2024 in Orlando. As a panel member, he addressed crowd-sourced questions regarding the strength of unity and its impact on therapeutic consultants. Collins stressed the importance of truth and transparency while acknowledging that truth may not always be positive, but it remains essential in navigating the complexities of mental health. Transparency is key in bridging the gap between inaccuracies and accuracies of the value of therapeutic support, especially when addressing the evolution of practices from the past to the present.
In a world where mental health isn’t a one-size-fits-all endeavor, the collaboration between IECA, NATSAP, and TCA signals a pivotal moment in fostering unity within the therapeutic community and promoting the well-being of adolescents and young adults. Stay tuned for more engaging panels and participation from TCA as therapeutic consultants continue to play a vital role in the therapeutic community.
