Company Summary

Bridge House is a small, short-term residential program providing services to adults (ages 18-55) struggling with mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Our primary focus is on stabilization and in-depth assessment. We are located in Farmington, Utah. www.bridgehousehealth.com

Primary Responsibilities

Primary Therapists are responsible for providing individual, family, and group therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team. They collaborate with the team toward stabilization of our residents while assessing response to treatment intervention. They also participate in developing recommendations for placement to meet long-term needs.

Job Duties

Complete mental health assessments for residents including diagnosis, treatment planning, and providing direct care services, i.e., plan of care, periodic reviews, individual, group, and family psychotherapy
Work with and manage communication with resident families as it relates to resident care
Case conceptualization, consultation, and supervision to paraprofessional staff
Maintain healthy relationships with residents and advocate for residents to ensure needs are met according to policy and procedures
Maintain records of resident treatment plans, individual and group therapy sessions, and other records as needed
Participate in the interdisciplinary treatment team
Assure adequate service delivery in compliance with all policies and procedures
Provide safe and law-abiding transportation and on-call coverage as needed
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills
  • Minimum of master level Mental Health professional
  • Current State of Utah Licensure
  • Current AEGIS de-escalation certification (provided by Bridge House)
  • Current CPR certification (provided by Bridge House)
  • Knowledge of signs and symptoms of mental illness
  • Knowledge of the mental health system and legal system, using it effectively
  • Must have excellent critical thinking, memory, organization, and time management skills
  • Must be honest, dependable, self-motivated, and dedicated
  • Must be able to maintain a full case load while meeting deadlines for charting
  • Must possess excellent communication and relationship skills for working with staff, residents and their families
  • Must have the ability to work cooperatively and respectfully from a team approach
  • Must uphold values congruent with Bridge House’s philosophy and mission
