Therapist Celesta Jones Joins the Clinical Team at STRiV
Orem, UT: STRīV is a transitional support program for young adults navigating the challenging landscape of independent living and the college experience. Now in their third year, their clinical team is expanding. STRīV is thrilled to welcome Celesta Jones, CSW to the clinical team. Celesta received her Masters’ in Social Work from Fordham (NY). She recognizes that the prospect of “adulting’ can be daunting, and has developed a passion for helping young adults define their own identity and establish a sense of worth as they transition into the rest of their life.
Viewing healing as a collaborative process, Celesta values the team approach in this process. Putting our core values to work, Celesta celebrates the uniqueness of each individual and prioritizes creating an inclusive, open-minded environment for therapy, allowing people the autonomy to live honestly and interact harmoniously. In true STRiV fashion, she has a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection and the role it plays in mental health. As such, she works diligently to incorporate mindfulness, creative arts, and movement into treatment as a method of ensuring whole-person healing and wellness.
When asked about her work with young adults, Celesta had this to say: “I love watching young adults develop into the people they are going to be, defining their own identity, and discovering how their personal attributes and skills can be integrated into society. Everybody needs a sense of ‘place’ in this world and there is nothing like being able to contribute to the process of finding it. I am so honored every time I get to be a part of someone’s life journey.
