Minnesota Life College (MLC) is an experiential learning program for individuals on the Autism Spectrum and with other learning differences (ages 18-28) who want to lead holistic, independent, and enriched lives within their community. Our participants fall into three distinct categories- 1. Students for whom MLC will be their primary college experience, and who will focus on vocational and independent living skills training 2. Students who plan to attend college after attending MLC (or who have attended prior to enrolling) 3. Students who take some college courses concurrently while attending MLC Our Undergraduate Program (UG), Summer Internship Program (SIP), and Community Living Program (CLP) are three unique experiences that are consistently adapting, evaluating, and improving methods in order to capitalize on each individual’s skill level, dreams, and desires. We strongly believe in a person centered approach that seeks to inform the whole person. We know that all walks of life can be found on the Spectrum or with a learning difference which is why we do not discriminate on the grounds of culture, religion, gender identity (Transmale and Transfemale) or sexual orientation. Our founder created this program identifying a need not only for her child to grow, learn, and live but we are propelled by the same vision of this mission.
