Deschutes Wilderness Therapy is unique in its clinical approach, offering the latest evidence-based practices for treating and healing trauma and attachment disorders. This is done from a trauma-informed lens and a relationship-based model that permeates throughout our culture of leaders, clinicians, and employees. We provide: Trauma-Informed care, Brainspotting, Hearthmath Interventions, Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), Accredited School, Canine Therapy, Mastery Program, Family Intensives, Individual tents for each student.
Despite numerous therapeutic efforts, many individuals struggle with the effects of early childhood stress, developmental trauma and/or adoption. These teens often demonstrate symptoms like anxiety, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, depression, substance abuse and difficulty engaging in meaningful relationships.

Deschutes Wilderness Therapy is an innovative wilderness therapy program for clients who require immediate intervention and intensive mental health treatment. Our programs specialize in treating struggles associated with adoption, developmental trauma, anxiety, depression, and addiction. We serve teens and young adults, and their parents, based out of Bend, Oregon. Through the wilderness experience, young people and their parents have the opportunity to heal their relationships and foster personal growth in life.
