Located in Costa Rica, Pure Life provides a holistic, adventure-based approach to young adult therapy. Our students participate in novel adventures including: surfing, rafting, backpacking, & internationally recognized certifications. Students engage in individual therapy & group therapy on a weekly basis. Pure Life uses a hands-on, strengths-based, student-integrated clinical model through which participants quickly learn new coping strategies, behavioral & emotional regulation skills, leadership skills, & life skills. Young people who struggle with anxiety, lack of motivation, depression, & social skills may find their problems getting worse under the pressure of adulthood. Pure Life’s Adventure Therapy students are typically facing challenges associated with: Depression, Anxiety, Substance abuse, Screening/gaming abuse, Executive function deficits, Low motivation, Adoption, Low self-esteem, Body image, & Trauma. Individuals attending our program have a willingness to change. Pure Life is open to young people, ages 18-30 (exceptions are given to motivated 17yo). Our students work on their social skills, leadership skills, life planning skills, & vocational development. Through cultural immersion, community service, & adventure based activities, our students develop the skills & experiences necessary to get them through difficult adult transition so they can thrive and flourish on their own. *We are able to provide bilingual (Spanish to English) services to all clients from admission --> treatment.* For more information, please visit our website link to the right.

Mission Statement
Relying on decades of experience in the Costa Rican outdoor industry, our bicultural team provides a therapeutically sophisticated and holistic approach to helping young adults with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, lack of motivation, executive function deficits, trauma, and substance abuse. Our students are individuals with very real challenges looking for lasting change. Pure Life provides intermediate level treatment, utilizing cognitive behavioral individual and group therapy in combination with outdoor experiential learning and adventure. Our integrated and dynamic approach includes an emphasis on fitness, mindfulness, life skills, and cultural immersion. Pure Life can offer an alternative to a traditional gap semester from college or career, . We offer the cultural, adventure, and leadership experience of a gap program with the added benefit of strong, research based, therapeutic support. Our two to three month adventures are built to intentionally foster grit and resiliency in students while supporting them as they confront the barriers that are holding them back from success. In addition, we provide students with opportunities for cultural immersion, community service, and nationally recognized adventure certifications. Through this novel, nature based approach, we prepare young adults for the challenges they will face as they conquer college, career, and independence.
