At Red Mountain Colorado, our program for struggling teens was created for the treatment of substance abuse, substance use disorder, or addiction. However, that does not mean that addiction recovery is all we do. We’ve had our own experiences with trauma and know just how much trauma can affect addiction. This is why we are also considered a trauma-specific treatment center.
When a teen struggles from substance abuse and at least one other mental health concern we call this dual diagnosis disorder or having co-occurring conditions. Red Mountain Colorado treats all of the presenting mental health symptoms with an integrated approach to create a path to psychosocial wellness.
Our therapists employ a variety of innovative interventions to address all the symptoms your teen is struggling with. If we don’t have our own expert in an area, we will seek consultation or training needed to improve your teen’s life.
Red Mountain Colorado's mindfulness-based programming helps our students discover their inherent goodness and focus on giving back to the community. From there, they can focus on redirecting their life path in a positive direction and maintaining the strides made in primary treatment in a “real world” setting.
The Red Mountain program offers access to excellent clinical services, as well as a daily meditation program taught by a Zen Sensei and a Tibetan Meditation Instructor. Red Mountain Colorado offers adventure therapy, group therapy, hiking, martial arts, yoga, physical fitness, and academic support.
