Stetson School Logo
Stetson School is a COA accredited, SEVIS-approved, Residential and Education Treatment program, which is fully licensed by the Massachusetts Departments of Early Education and Care, and Elementary and Secondary Education. We serve young men, ages 9-22, who have problematic behaviors, sexually reactive behaviors, complex developmental difficulties, chronic mental illness and other behavioral issues. Stetson supports young men who have suffered from severe trauma, have histories of physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse and who may have had disrupted living arrangements or placements. We specialize in flexible, family-driven treatment, safety, stabilization and assessment. We develop an alliance with the family and work to strengthen those supports to enable a safe return to the community. Our ACORN® Model of Care is rooted in attachment theory, is trauma informed, and focuses on individual needs, strengths, and interests. It is an integrated, evidence informed treatment model which focuses on assessing needs and reduction of risk, to ensure safe reintegration to community and accommodates and treats the majority of childhood mental health diagnoses. Services are provided within a relational milieu, that is family driven and supportive. Stetson’s main campus is located on 200 rural acres in central Massachusetts which accommodates a therapeutic environment, and encourages youth to engage in recreational activities that foster teamwork, problem-solving, and a sense of belonging.
