Triple Divide Lodge Welcomes Kaiumati Roche as New Program Director
Triple Divide Lodge, a recovery community for young men, is thrilled to announce Kaiumati (Kai) Roche as their new Program Director. Kai graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Tourism and Outdoor Leadership with a focus on Adventure Leadership and Education from Oregon State University, which he pursued while working for several wilderness therapy programs, using the opportunity to explore the intersections of substance abuse treatment, wilderness, and adventure therapy, leadership and relationship development. His deep understanding of this work stems from personal and professional experience, and his passion for individual and program development is evident in his approach to his work at Triple Divide Lodge.
Kai is excited to bring his varied experience across the teen treatment industry, particularly in OBH programs, to Triple Divide Lodge. In his own words, “One of the reasons I took the position as program director at Triple Divide Lodge was the unique opportunity it presented working alongside a team with such depth and breadth of experience in a program so consistently oriented towards growth and development organizationally that aligns with the passion we collectively have for driving healthy change. Much of the intensity we apply to program development echoes the focused intentionality we apply in taking young men from active addiction and dysregulation across all areas of their lives to the insightful young men they can be proud of in their sobriety, life, and relationships. Being able to lean into the discomfort of healthy change and its consistent presence in our lives becomes a lifelong exercise and a foundational resiliency practice essential to lifelong success in both intra- and interpersonal relationships.”
When he’s not developing training resources or coaching staff, Kai enjoys spending quality time with his dog Bendito, exploring NW Montana through climbing, backpacking, white water kayaking/rafting, snowboarding, mountain biking, reading, and cooking. Kai’s passion and experiential focus as Program Director serve to balance and support the Clinical Department and the vision that Executive Director Patrick Hawkins has for Triple Divide Lodge, both currently and for the future.
