CooperRiis Healing Community, a non-profit mental health treatment program, introduced its new “Partial Hospitalization Program” (PHP) in September of 2023 in downtown Asheville. The PHP program treats adults who are experiencing mental health diagnoses such as anxiety, major depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and personality disorders, and can support co-occurring conditions related to addiction. The program is highly structured and offers short-term day treatment, five days a week, and runs approximately 4-6 weeks.

The opening of this program now makes five levels of care in an integrated system that CooperRiis offers; four of those levels are offered in the Asheville area, and one is in Mill Spring; a 94-acre therapeutic working farm. The PHP program accepts out-of-network benefits and cash pay and is now in-network with United Healthcare.

CooperRiis is also offering a special introductory offer for the launch of the PHP, a discounted daily rate. This special daily rate will be offered for a limited time only, until November 18th, 2023. CooperRiis recognizes a great need for outpatient mental health services in the region, their intention is to reduce as many barriers as possible.
