Valley View Welcomes New Clinical Coordinator
Valley View School is delighted to announce that Jim Haupt, MA, has rejoined the Valley View team in the role of clinical coordinator. Jim served in a similar role at Valley View from 2006-2015 before working in several other academic positions, most recently at Eagle Hill Academy. In fact, Jim was named “outstanding educator” by Eagle Hill students in 2021.
Over the course of his career, Jim has dedicated himself to using his varied talents and passions to work with youth in a wide variety of roles. In addition to his clinical work, Jim has been a teacher and a coach of sports teams such as swimming, cross country running, football, and baseball. He also taught app development and ran a maker-space that included welding, 3D printing, and lasers. This blend of clinical experience with high-energy avenues of adolescent engagement makes Jim an excellent fit for the Valley View School relational/experiential model.
The clinical acumen that Jim brings to Valley View is outstanding; he excels at program development, crisis management and clinical interventions including individual, family and group psychotherapy.
Jim states, “I am excited to bring my counseling expertise back to Valley View School, where I originally developed my professional identity”.
Rick May, Valley View Executive Director is thrilled that Jim’s professional arc is leading back to Valley View. Rick states, “I am very excited to have Jim back on our clinical team. His wealth of knowledge, historical perspective, and engaging personality will make an immediate positive impact on the entire Valley View community”.
Welcome home, Jim.
